Manual Therapy is a “hands on” approach which encompasses many different techniques.
The focus of manual therapy is to assess limitations and dysfunction and maximize the body’s own self-healing potential. Our physical therapists are all trained extensively in manual therapy and use it to help patients reach their desired goals, whether that’s returning to work, hobbies, and/or sports.
Below are a few examples of manual therapy techniques:
- spinal mobilization
- peripheral joint mobilization
- massage and soft tissue mobilization
- neural mobilization
- lymphatic drainage
- Graston Technique
- Mayofascial Release
- Strain-Counterstrain
- Muscle Energy Technique
