Aquatic therapy uses the advantages of water to reduce stress on joints and muscles by minimizing the effects of gravity on the body.
The emphasis of aquatic therapy treatment is to reduce pain, increase mobility, and regain function. Diagnoses treated in aquatic therapy include, but are not limited to:
- arthritis
- fibromyalgia
- athletic injuries
- chronic pain
- joint replacement
- neck & back pain
- post-surgical conditions
- pregnancy-related musculoskeletal dysfunction
